The Multnomah County Public Health nurse comes to visit us every couple months or so. It is a wonderful service and we're so grateful. She weighs and measures X, checks that he is on target developmentally, and answers any questions that we might have. This last month, she measured his head and it was waaaaay off the charts compared to the rest of his body. She asked if she could notify our pediatrician --out of professional responsibility she really felt she ought to. She didn't actually think anything was wrong, but it was somewhat alarming in any case. The doctor of course dismissed it, since he is growing into such a healthy, wonderful boy in every other way. But he does have an enormous head.
